When studying the amendments, there is an issue that comes to my attention.


While slaves and criminals have 3 amendments specifically aimed towards them, women have 1. The fourteenth amendment guarantees citizenship to former slaves. There is no amendment for equality towards women.


I'm not complaining that women are not treated well, they are just not treated equally. 

As a female student, I fear the inequality of the sexes in the future of my career. In America, it is legal for women to be paid less than men. Women should earn equal pay for equal work. There is absolutely no question in my mind.
